According to police, the district-wide operations targeted subversive and law-defying elements while ensuring civic stability and public confidence. During the drives, six individuals linked with subversive networks were brought to police stations and bound down under law. Searches were conducted at 22 properties associated with over-ground workers (OGWs), resulting in 20 OGWs being bound down and two sent to jail under preventive detention.

Two individuals previously booked under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA) and currently out on bail were examined, with one bound down under preventive law. Police also identified eight bailed UAPA accused for bail cancellation, submitting two such cases to the competent court.

Additionally, 16 cordon and search operations (CASOs) were conducted, and 292 vehicles were checked at various checkpoints across the district. Searches included five individuals linked to E&IMCO and two with the proscribed Jamaat-e-Islami (JeI) to ensure compliance with legal provisions. Two absconding UAPA accused were also traced, with legal action initiated against them.

Baramulla Police said the operations were executed with precision to preempt security contingencies and neutralise disruptive elements. They reaffirmed their commitment to maintaining stability, security, and harmony across the district through sustained preventive measures.
