SRINAGAR: The Department of Physics at Pondicherry University has invited applications for the post of Research Associate under a government-sponsored project focusing on advanced electrochemical energy storage applications.
The appointment is part of a time-bound research initiative titled “Design and Development of Advanced Sodium-Ion Supercapacitor for Electrochemical Energy Storage Applications”, funded by the ASEAN-India S&T Cooperation and ANRF, Government of India, New Delhi.
According to the notification issued by Dr C. R. Mariappan, Associate Professor and Principal Investigator (PI) of the project, the position is purely temporary and will initially be for one year, extendable by another year based on performance and project requirements.
The selected candidate will receive a monthly fellowship of Rs 58,000 plus 16 per cent HRA.
Applicants must hold a PhD (awarded or thesis submitted) in Physics, Material Science, or Nanotechnology. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in electrochemical studies, battery fabrication, supercapacitor research, and publications in reputed journals.
The upper age limit is 35 years, with relaxation as per Government of India norms for SC/ST/OBC categories.
