SRINAGAR: The Reuters Institute in Oxford, UK is inviting applications for a fully funded fellowship for the year 2025. The fellowship aims to bring together participants from diverse backgrounds to engage in an in-depth exploration of journalism. Through seminars, workshops, personal research, and discussions with fellow participants, attendees will have the opportunity to deepen their understanding of journalism and its global impact.
The programme offers an opportunity for participants to spend three to six months at the Reuters Institute in Oxford. There are a total 30 fellowships available and exceptional individuals from around the globe are selected.
The application process is completely online through the official website and the deadline to apply for the programme is February 13, 2025.
The fully funded fellowship programme covers all expenses, including airfare, visa costs, and a monthly stipend to support housing, meals, and personal needs. There is no application fees required.
The fellowship is open to applicants of all nationalities, providing a unique global opportunity for experienced journalists to advance their expertise. Applications are welcomed from journalists across the world, including Europe, Africa, the Asia-Pacific region, North America, and Latin America.
The eligibility criteria include that applicants must have a minimum of five years of professional experience in journalism. In exceptional cases, equivalent expertise may also be considered. Freelancers are also encouraged to apply. However, individuals working in public affairs, public relations, or corporate communications are not eligible. While English proficiency is essential for participation, applicants are not required to undergo formal language testing.
