A retired police officer and an ardent supporter of Sajad Lone’s Peoples Conference who participated in Modi’s rally in Srinagar on Monday revealed that Sajad Lone arranged 220 vehicles for his supporters to attend Modi’s rally in Srinagar. “Hundreds of PC supporters are present here. All the arrangements to ferry us to and fro have been made by Sajad Lone. He arranged 220 vehicles for us to show our presence here,” Gulzar Ahmed a resident of Natnusa Handwara told CNS inside the Cricket Stadium soon after the culmination of election rally.
At least 15,000 people, both from Valley and outside Kashmir participated in Modi’s rally.

Another resident, Nazir Gojri from Chogul Handwara said that he is not a BJP supporter but arrived here on the directions of his party leader Sajad Lone whose workers informed us about the event and arranged vehicles for us. “I was impressed the way Modi addressed people. He seems sincere and wants over all development for Kashmir,” Gojri said.

People’s Conference Chairman Sajad Lone has vehemently denounced the reports that his party had arranged any vehicle for the Prime Ministers rally. He told CNS that some elements are hell-bent to tarnish his image. “There may be some mischievous elements present in the rally who might have used my name to defame me,” he said.

Pertinently, Chief Minister Omar Abdullah Monday tweeted that Sajad Lone is sending about 80 vehicles of supporters from Kupwara to help his “big brother” make up the numbers.

An 18 year old youth from Harud Malapora Beerwah Budgam, Sameer Ahmed Lone told CNS that he is going to cast his vote in favour of BJP on December 9 as according to him Modi really wants development of Kashmir.

Muhammad Ashraf Mir (35), a resident of Saidpora Shopian, who was wearing Modi mask at the venue said that Modi’s speech suit to Kashmiri people. “Modi speaks from heart and I am hopeful that Kashmir will progress under BJP rule. We have given our votes to National Conference every time and now there is time to give BJP a chance which is keen to put a balm on our wounds,” he said.

Rafiq Ahmed from Makdhoom Sahab area of Srinagar city and Muhammad Amin from restive Sopore town also agreed that people of Kashmir should give BJP a chance. “This party will eradicate corruption in Kashmir and will provide employment. We people have suffered badly from past sixty years and now it’s time to change our destiny,” they said.

“I am a poor fellow and I want such a government in the State that listens to us. I came from Kund area of Qazigund to attend the rally and I am sure Modi will change the fortunes of Kashmiri people,” said Ghulam Nabi Parrey.
Sajad Rather from Shalimar Srinagar told CNS that BJP is the best organization and he is confident that it will form next government in Jammu and Kashmir.

Mushtaq Ahmed Sheera from Habakadal said that nobody forced him to attend the rally. “I came here as I wanted to listen the speech of Narendra Modi. I hope that Modi will develop Kashmir on modern lines,” he said.
