SRINAGAR: Nasser bin Radan Al Rashid Al Wadaei, believed to be Saudi Arabia’s oldest known man, has died at the age of 142, Gulf News reported.

Funeral prayers were held in Dhahran Al Janoub, in the southern region of the Kingdom, before Al Wadaei was laid to rest in his home village of Al Rashid. The ceremony was attended by more than 7,000 people who came to pay their respects.
Born before the unification of Saudi Arabia, Al Wadaei witnessed the reigns of leaders from King Abdulaziz, the founder of modern Saudi Arabia, to King Salman, living through more than a century of political, social, and economic change.
According to Times Kuwait, Al Wadaei was a devout Muslim who performed the Hajj pilgrimage over 40 times. He reportedly married for the last time at 110 years old and fathered a daughter, leaving behind 134 children and grandchildren.
News of his passing has attracted widespread attention on Saudi social media, with many describing him as a symbol of faith, resilience, and longevity.
