SRINAGAR: Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Minister, Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, held telephonic conversations on Saturday with Indian External Affairs Minister Dr Subrahmanyam Jaishankar and Pakistani Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, urging both nations to prioritise de-escalation and avoid further military confrontation.
According to an official statement from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the discussions focused on reducing tensions and promoting regional peace and stability amid ongoing hostilities between India and Pakistan.
He affirmed Saudi Arabia’s commitment to ensuring the security and stability of the region, reiterating the Kingdom’s longstanding tradition of maintaining close and balanced diplomatic relations with both countries.
