SRINAGAR: Police have arrested a person who is working in a school in Srinagar for “molesting” a 6-year old student. A formal case has been registered.
“Yes, we have received a complaint and we have arrested the teacher,” a police officer, associated with the investigations said. “We have registered a case as well.”
Reports confirmed by police said an FIR vide number 27/2022 under section 376 and POSCO Act has been registered against the accused and the investigations have started.
Some details available now suggest that the accused is not a teacher but a laboratory assistant in a state-run school. The molestation has allegedly been reported in the locality where the accused is living. The minor lives in the neighbourhood of the accused, reports added. Police said the baby girl was medically examined as well.
