The application, seeking the release of Dar on bail, was dismissed by Sub-Judge Srinagar Junaid Imtiaz Mir on October 28, 2026, after finding that the applicant had failed to pursue the proceedings.

The court observed that nobody appeared on behalf of the applicant despite the matter being called several times and kept pending for a considerable period until the rising of the court.

“Even on previous dates of hearing, nemo has appeared for the applicant,” the court noted, adding that it appeared the applicant had lost interest in pursuing the case.

“In view of the above, case in hand is dismissed for want of prosecution,” the order stated.

The application was filed by Ghulam Mohi-ud-Din Dar, son of Abdul Khaliq Dar and a resident of Jawalpora, Budgam, through his son Sajad Ahmad Dar, against the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir through the Senior Superintendent of Police, Economic Offences Wing, Crime Branch, Srinagar.

The case was instituted on October 10, 2026, and registered under File No. 504/2026.

The court directed that the file be disposed of and consigned to records after due compilation.
