Top Brass of JK Government Resumes Duties in Srinagar

   

SRINAGAR: Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah resumed office at the Civil Secretariat in Srinagar on Monday after a six-month stay in Jammu, the winter capital. In his statement, he emphasised a clear focus for the upcoming months.

“Today, I resumed office at the Civil Secretariat in Srinagar after six months. The focus now is clear—action, accountability, and reaching every individual through good governance and development. Let’s make these six months count,” he said in a post on X.

Later in the day, Chief Minister Abdullah chaired a high-level meeting at the Civil Secretariat to discuss the reopening of government offices. During the meeting, he underscored the importance of delivering effective governance at the grassroots level and ensuring the timely implementation of budget priorities.

He further directed officials to focus on tangible results, stating, “Let’s focus on deliverables so that when we shift to Jammu in another six months, we can showcase real progress despite the challenges.”
