As the Autumn session of state legislature witnessed ruckus on day second, the Supreme Court (SC) of India Monday asked Jammu and Kashmir High Court to set up a new bench to decide the matter.

PDP led J&K government had moved to SC after Jammu wing of HC had asked police to implement autocratic Dogra rule beef ban law.

The SC also put the beef ban orders in abeyance by Jammu and Kashmir High Court.

Meanwhile, the opposition leader in lower house of state legislature, Omar Abdullah alleged that PDP moved to SC over Beef Ban Issue to “save the coalition government”.

“It was a ploy by the PDP to save the coalition government,” Omar told reporters outside state assembly complex. “It was step to sabotage the beef ban issue.”
