More so, as the nocturnal continue to leash terror in south-Kashmir, besides vandalizing property, damaging electricity transforms becomes new trend.

On Sunday, when forces raided Fatehpur village to foil rally that was going on in nearby Sadura village, locals said, the electricity transformers were first target.

All the electricity transfers in the village have been showered with bullets and have been damaged permanently, the locals said.

“This is new way to curb the resistance movement and showcases the frustration of forces,” said a local of Fatehpora. “They are trying to make people suffer from every angle but it won’t help them.”

In some other areas of South Kashmir, people alleged that forces cut down electricity and precede nocturnal raids.

“At 1 am forces cordoned our village and cut the electricity supply,” said a local of Zangalpora Kulgam. “Soon forces started vandalizing windowpanes and terrorized us.”

In the Bulbul Nowgam, Achabal people also said that forces during nocturnal raids damaged the electricity transformers.

Meanwhile some youth, also alleged that during checking and raids forces took away their mobile phones.
