rasheedAwami Ittehad Party’s “anti BJP-PDP campaign” reached Budgam Tuesday with hundreds joining the protest march led by its chief Er Rasheed, a statement issued by the party here read.

“The protestors raised slogans against industrial policy, composite townships, proposed sainik colonies, NEET issue and making shelters for non-state subjects.”

Er Rasheed addressed a gathering in Budgam chowk and asked New Delhi not to provoke Kashmiris by implementing RSS agenda. He said, “Revelations made by housing department about making shelters for so called homeless people is a very disturbing issue. In Jammu non-state subjects in huge numbers have been already residing there and now reportedly government is hinting at providing very basic rights to west Pakistani refugees. But all these designs need to be defeated cutting across political affiliations.”

Rasheed said, let people of Jammu understand the sensitivity of the issue and wake up to protect the special status and rights of the people of state.

Er Rasheed asked government not to force Kashmiris to send non-state subjects out of the state and not to undermine the might of the people.

Meanwhile, Rasheed ridiculed police version about presence of militants in Kashmir and said, “Whatsoever IG Kashmir has revealed about Hizb Commander Burhan and other militants may be numerically correct but security agencies included J&K Police need to confess that they have lost the moral and psychological  battle against militants.”

Doesn’t IG Kashmir know that majority of the militants who are active in Kashmir nowadays, don’t cross LOC to get arms etc and  have stood up by conviction and the atrocities of police and other security agencies make them to take a last call to join militant outfits.”

On the occasion Rasheed appealed police not to mislead their masters by giving figures but tell them straight way that eliminating militants has nothing to do with controlling militancy.
