J&K Entrepreneurship Development Association (JKEDA), a body of 3200 entrepreneurs linked with J&K EDI are petitioning Chairman J&K Bank and Chief Minister against certain bad practices impacting them directly. The bank has started deducting their loan instalments at a time when the entrepreneurs are fighting to survive because of the ongoing unrest.
EDA met in a local hotel here and discussed the “illegal deductions of the EMI’s (CC/ Term Loan Accounts)” by the bank and the resultant “mental harassment” of both, the borrowers and their guarantors.
The Association has more than primary members of 3200 in all three provinces of all three provinces across the state.
“It was unanimously decided that if issued raised will not be addressed at the earliest then we will forced to take our issue and will hit the streets with the protests so that government has to take some decision with regard to save our future,” the statement said. The JKEDA has decided to organise a peaceful sit in on November 23, in press enclave at 11.30 am. “We demand the interest free moratorium for the reestablishment of our units and if at all enhancements of the loans are needed that shall be provided in a hassle free and guarantor-free manner.”
