As J&K Entrepreneurship Development Institute (EDI) at Sempora Pampore is in flames with suspected militants and para-troopers inside, people across spectrum are aghast against the damages to the main building.
EDI is a hand holding training institute where youth are given training to start their own businesses.

A Facebook user wrote “Speechless!” Apparently shocked, a Facebook user uploaded an image of the building caught in columns of smoke.
“This was the only grand building in entire South Kashmir,” an IF&C employee who is posted in Islamabad said, “This too has been destroyed.”
The Training institute established many years ago has had many success stories to its credit. The institute sees massive footfall throughout the year.
Another Old Srinagar youth who is running a successful business in summer capital said, “My success is directly related to the Institute which helped me to grow and earn for my belly.” “My heart is paining while I watch my alma mater in flames.”
With Jammu and Kashmir facing severe employment generation crisis, youth of Kashmir have associated their future with this institute.
This building served as a main ration supplying centre and refugee camp to flood hit Srinagar and South Kashmir parts during 2014 September floods.
