The revenue was earned through sales of products made at more than 400 departmental training centres across the Kashmir valley. These include Pashmina items, Sozni embroidery, Crewel work, Chain Stitch, Kani Shawls, carpets, and various handloom fabrics. The department highlighted this as an example of how government funds are being recycled into the system for the development and promotion of the craft sector.

The department said this outcome reflects its efforts in skill development and enhancing the earning capacity of local artisans. The training approach includes both technical instruction and market-based production, providing trainees with real-time commercial exposure.

Modernisation of training facilities, integration of new design elements, and improved marketing through departmental outlets and national exhibitions are being planned to widen product reach and ensure continued preservation of traditional crafts.

The department said it remains committed to expanding such initiatives to create sustainable livelihoods for artisans and youth across Jammu and Kashmir.
