SRINAGAR: HDFC Bank has announced the launch of its Educational Crisis Support Scholarship (ECSS) programme for the academic year 2023-24, under its renowned Parivartan initiative. The deadline to apply for the HDFC Bank Parivartan’s ECSS Programme for the academic year 2023-24 is September 30, 2023. Only Indian nationals are eligible to apply for the scholarship.
This scholarship is aimed at providing meritorious and needy students from underprivileged sections of society with financial assistance to continue their education and prevent the risk of dropping out due to personal or family crises.
The HDFC Bank Parivartan’s ECSS Programme covers a wide range of educational levels, including school students from Class 1 to 12, as well as those pursuing diploma, ITI, polytechnic, undergraduate (UG), and postgraduate (PG) courses (both general and professional) in recognized colleges and universities across India.
Students who meet the eligibility criteria, including scoring at least 55 per cent marks in their previous qualifying examination and having an annual family income of less than or equal to INR 2.5 Lakh, are eligible to apply for the scholarship. However, preference will be given to those applicants who are facing personal or family crises that have occurred during the past three years, leading to financial difficulties and jeopardizing their educational journey.
Under the HDFC Bank Parivartan’s ECSS Programme, eligible students can receive monetary assistance of up to INR 75,000 to support their studies and educational expenses. The scholarship amounts vary depending on the educational level.
For School Students (Class 1 to 6): INR 15,000
For School Students (Class 7 to 12), Diploma, ITI, & Polytechnic Students: INR 18,000
For Undergraduate Courses (General): INR 30,000
For Undergraduate Courses (Professional): INR 50,000
For Postgraduate Courses (General): INR 35,000
For Postgraduate Courses (Professional): INR 75,000
