Keeping in view the student needs, Islami Jamiat-e-Tulaba (IJT), Jammu and Kashmir is scheduled to hold a ‘mock Common Entrance Test’ later this month.
An all students’ organization, the IJT, of late, has been making efforts to reach out to the student community of restive state in order to help them making their dreams fulfil, insiders assert.
For last many years, the IJT has been holding state level Talent Search Test (TST) for students to understand the changing trends in examination patterns and to acquaint them with evolution of knowledge. The IJT leaders say that for many years now, over 30000 students across Jammu and Kashmir participate in the TST, annually.
“This year, we are holding Mock Common Entrance Test for medical branches only for which registration has already begun,” president IJT, Omar Sultan, told Kashmir Life.
He said because of the September 2014 deluge, the state held Common Entrance Test (CET) in state got delayed and is scheduled to be held at the end of May.
“The IJT shall hold this kind of first Mock Common Entrance Test on May 26 at its Central Office in Srinagar,” Omar said adding that the IJT shall extend this facility to Chenab valley students as well. “We may establish examination centres in the region as well.”
Although, the IJT is independently holding the mock test, the IJT leaders said that the idea behind holding test is to get students prepared to face the state held CET.
“Sitting in CET remains a new experience for students of state as filling answer books and enrolment slips is altogether a different experience at first sight for a student,” IJT General Secretary, Zakir Hussain said adding, “IJT has designed the examination papers, answer books and enrolment slips same on the pattern of state held Common Entrance Test; so when a student sits in IJT model CET, he/she will have no problem, at first sight, writing in real CET.”
The registration of the Mock Test is going on and IJT has asked the interested students to contact @ 9622767663.
