SRINAGAR: The application process for recruitment of prosecution officers (PO) will begin on October 6, 2022, and the window will close on November 5 2022.
The information available with Kashmir Life suggests that there are 120 vacancies – 61 for unreserved candidates and the rest for candidates with reservations.
Candidates can apply for the positions online. Application fee for General category candidates is Rs 1000/- reserved categories is Rs 500/- and for PHC candidates is nil. Candidates from the unreserved category should not be more than 40 years of age while candidates from the reserved category should be up to 43 years of age as on January 1, 2022.
Applicant must be a domicile of Jammu and Kashmir and should have a bachelor’s degree in law from an institution of law recognised by Indian Law.
The selection process involves a preliminary exam, a main exam and a personality test (interview). The selected candidates will have a pay scale of Rs 47,600- Rs 1,5,100.
Candidates need not submit a hard copy of the online application form, however, a downloaded copy of the online application form along with original certificates will be required at the time of interview. Documents to be uploaded include date of birth certificate (secondary school/matric certificate), domicile certificate of UT of JK and bachelors degree with consolidated marks card up to 5 levels. Candidates who apply under a category need a category certificate and In Service Certificate signed by the head of the department.
There is a 4% reservation for candidates belonging to PHC category possessing identified benchmark disabilities.
