The scheduled written test for the 10+2 and graduate level posts which are being conducted by Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) on 25th and 26th of this month has come under severe criticism from the aspirants as the board has failed to allot any examination centre to Kishtwar district instead the centres have been set up near about 60 KMs away from Kishtwar headquarter.

The nearest examination centres have been set up in Doda district.

Aspirants in a fit of anger have shown there strong resentment over allotment of centres in a faraway district.

The centres allotted to job aspirants are located at Thathri, Doda, Khellani and at other faraway places which has caused severe hue and cry situation among the aspirants especially females.

Kishtwar district has sparsely distributed habitations and is the largest district of Jammu division.

Marwah, Warwan, Dachann, Padder, Thakraie, Sarthal, Saroor areas of Kishtwar district remain cut-off and have no such proper road connectivity. Aspirants of Marwah and Warwan like tough areas would have to cover such a difficult terrain on foot taking two days to reach Kishtwar headquarter.

“It would create a major boarding and lodging problem for the students like me to first reach to Kishtwar and then proceed to other district; as we are not economically sound, how come the JKSSB be so ignorant to put the larger interest of Kishtwar based aspirants at stake as many a dozen students are not going to the centres allotted in faraway places,” an aspirant from Sarthal area said.
