According to credible agencies, certain unidentified persons have been systematically disseminating fabricated narratives, distorted facts, and sensitive information regarding covert operations within Indian territory. Authorities say the unauthorised disclosure of such details not only poses a serious threat to national security but also aligns with the strategic objectives of hostile entities.

The circulating content, officials say, is deliberately designed to incite fear, spread confusion, and provoke unrest among the civilian population. Initial assessments suggest that the misinformation has already triggered concern in parts of the Valley and has the potential to undermine public order.

Taking note of the seriousness of the matter, Srinagar Police has identified three individuals allegedly involved in the act:

Inayat Hussain Rather, son of Mohammad Ibrahim Rather, resident of Shalina near Masjid Sharief, Pampore

Rather Arif, son of Gh Nabi Rather, resident of Wanpora, Anantnag

Sheikh Umar Farooq, son of Farooq Ahmad Sheikh, resident of Ichgam, Budgam

A case has been registered under FIR No. 14/2025 at Police Station Shergarhi under Sections 197(1)(d) and 353(1)(b) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). Investigations are underway to apprehend all individuals responsible for these unlawful activities.

The public has been urged to remain vigilant, avoid sharing unverified content online, and report suspicious activity to relevant authorities for swift action.
