The upcoming property, to be managed by Carnation Hotels, will take the company’s regional portfolio to four operational hotels, with two additional properties already under development. The move reflects the company’s strategy to strengthen its presence in high-growth leisure destinations.

The new hotel will be located around 2 km from Srinagar International Airport and approximately 11 km from Srinagar Railway Station, offering connectivity for both business and leisure travellers. The property is planned as a 60-room hotel and will include facilities such as a restaurant, banquet and conference spaces, a swimming pool, and a fitness centre.

Company officials said the project is aimed at catering to the rising demand for branded hospitality infrastructure in the Kashmir Valley, where tourism has seen sustained growth in recent years. Commenting on the development, company president Neelendra Singh said Jammu and Kashmir is emerging as a high-potential destination, driven by increased domestic travel and improving infrastructure. He noted that travellers are increasingly seeking experience-driven stays backed by established brands, a segment the Keys Prima offering is designed to serve.

Lemon Tree Hotels operates across multiple segments, ranging from upscale to economy categories, and has been steadily expanding its footprint in tier-II and tourism-centric locations across India.

On the financial front, the company reported a consolidated net profit of Rs 62.67 crore in the third quarter of FY26, marking a marginal increase, while revenue from operations rose 14.3 per cent year-on-year to Rs 406.05 crore. Following the announcement, shares of the company declined 3.30 per cent to Rs 104.15 on the BSE.

The Srinagar project is expected to add to the region’s hospitality capacity at a time when tourist inflows and private sector investments are on the rise.
