SRINAGAR: Ladakh Lieutenant Governor Vinai Kumar Saxena on Monstated that flight operations at Leh airport have been expanded from eight to 18 flights per day to strengthen air connectivity ahead of the peak tourist season.
He said the enhanced schedule now connects Leh with major cities such as Delhi, Mumbai, Srinagar, and Chandigarh, and added that two more flights are expected to begin soon, offering greater convenience to travellers.

In a post on X, the LG said Ladakh is preparing to receive a higher number of visitors, and the increase in flights reflects efforts to improve accessibility to the region.
He noted that the rise in flight operations is expected to boost tourist arrivals, support the local economy, create livelihood opportunities, and further establish Ladakh as a popular destination.
The LG also invited tourists to visit Ladakh, highlighting the region as a key attraction for the season.
