Speaking at the inauguration, the Chief Minister said the office would serve as a direct interface for citizens to submit grievances and concerns. “It is not always possible for the public to visit the Civil Secretariat. This office will help bridge that gap,” he said.

Omar Abdullah added that the Raabita office would register complaints in both online and offline modes, with assigned officers and staff ensuring time-bound resolution. He also highlighted the success of the Public Service Guarantee Act and said the new office would strengthen its implementation.

Referring to the existing Raabita facility in Srinagar, he said the model had proven effective and would now be replicated in Jammu.

Following the inauguration, the Chief Minister met several delegations, including representatives from the Chamber of Commerce & Industry Jammu, JK High Court Bar Association, Ex-Servicemen League, Jewellers Association, and education sector.

Issues raised during the interactions included industrial challenges, welfare of ex-servicemen, and concerns of the Kashmiri Pandit community. The Chief Minister assured that genuine concerns would be addressed on priority.

The public welcomed the initiative, stating it would ease access to governance and grievance redressal.

The Chief Minister was accompanied by Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Kumar Choudhary, Advisor to the CM Nasir Aslam Wani, MLA Gulabgarh Er. Khurshid Ahmad, Additional Chief Secretary Dheeraj Gupta, and senior officers.
