Addressing a public gathering in Bihar’s Gaya, as per The Hindu, the Prime Minister recalled his visit to the state after the Pahalgam terror attack. “From this land, I had vowed to reduce terrorists to dust. The world has seen that resolve fulfilled. Pakistan’s missiles were scattered like twigs in the air, none could harm us,” he said.

Modi asserted that the operation had sent a strong message globally, underlining India’s resolve to punish its enemies.

During his visit, the Prime Minister inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of development projects worth around Rs 13,000 crore, including key initiatives in energy, health and infrastructure. He said the projects would strengthen industries in Bihar and generate new employment opportunities.

Highlighting social welfare initiatives, Modi handed over symbolic keys to beneficiaries under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY), covering 12,000 rural and 4,260 urban households in Bihar. “Until every needy person gets a pucca house, I will not rest. In Bihar alone, over 38 lakh houses have been built, including two lakh in Gaya,” he said, adding that facilities of electricity, water and gas were being provided along with housing.

The Prime Minister also inaugurated a hospital and research centre in Gaya, saying it would boost cancer care and healthcare services in the state. “My greatest satisfaction comes from reducing the hardships of the poor and easing the lives of women,” he added as reported by Indian Express.

Modi assured that PMAY would continue until every poor family in the country has a house of its own.
