The Pakistan elections should open the minds of angry Separatist leaders, Panthers party head Prof Bhim Singh who is on his three day visit in Kashmir, met the Separatist leaders and said, “The meeting with Kashmiri leaders of the opposite polls was highly useful as the combinations and the permutations in the sub-continent have undergone a sea-change on the ground and it is right time for angry Kashmiri leadership to respond to the needs of the people in the Valley by putting up a joint front in the Valley and jumping into the electoral battle in case they seriously desire to seek equity and justice for them.”

As per a statement Panthers Supremo who is also Member of National Integration Council met Kashmiri leaders Mirwaiz Molvi Umar Farooq, Chairman of the Hurriyat Conference for an hour at his Nageen residence. And later he met Syed Ali Geelani, Chairman of Hurriyat Conference (G) at his residence where he has been under house arrest for several days. Prof Singh during his one to one meeting discussed several issues confronting the people of J&K.

Prof Singh has said, “His meeting with angry leadership of Kashmir was highly encouraging to ensure return of peace. The Reorganization of J&K by providing financial, administrative and legislative powers to each region is inevitable and the only way out to resolve political uncertainly in the state.”

Prof Bhim Singh also met PDP Chief Patron, Mufti Mohammad Sayeed and the Governor of state NN Vohra and sought his intervention for the release of all political prisoners detained under PSA and speedy trial of all prisoners. He said, “Calling residence of POK via Banihal is not only illegal but dangerous for the security of the state as no foreigner can be allowed to enter J&K via Nepal.” A writ petition in this regard filed by the Panthers Party is also pending before the Supreme Court of India challenging the state policy to import foreigners into India via Nepal, reads the statement.
On Tuesday Prof Bhim Singh received Panthers Party leader of Bandipora, Mohammad Iqbal Jan on his release from Central Jail, Srinagar late evening.

Pertinently Iqbal Jan District President of Bandipora was acquitted by Delhi High Court who was sentence to life imprisonment. He spent seven years in Tihar Jail, Delhi. Prof Bhim Singh had argued his case before Delhi High Court.
