Addressing a public meeting in Panchari, Sadhotra highlighted the immense tourism potential in Jammu Division, which he believes needs to be explored and harnessed optimally to transform the region. He added that the Chief Minister has assured that both Jammu and Kashmir divisions will receive equal opportunities for growth.

Sadhotra called for the development of the Panchari Tourism Sector through Lander, which he believes could become a tourism hub benefiting the entire Jammu region. He stressed the importance of promoting the region’s pilgrim, adventure, and nature tourism sectors, hoping these areas will get the attention they deserve.

Recognising Jammu’s untapped natural beauty and spiritual destinations, Sadhotra proposed a multi-pronged strategy to develop and promote areas such as Bani-Basohli, Bhaderwah, Doda, Rajouri, and Poonch. These regions, known for their stunning landscapes, cultural heritage, and adventure tourism opportunities, are to be showcased through national and international campaigns.

Sadhotra further emphasised that harnessing Jammu’s tourism potential is not just about attracting visitors; it is about creating jobs, boosting local businesses, and fostering socio-economic growth. He stressed the need for improving infrastructure, including road connectivity, eco-tourism projects, and hospitality services. He also called for promoting Jammu as a year-round tourist destination, using its climate and cultural diversity as an advantage. Sustainability and community involvement were also highlighted as key to preserving the region’s natural and cultural heritage.

Former minister and Zonal President of National Conference, Abdul Gani Malik, echoed  Sadhotra’s sentiments, stressing the need to develop the Panchari Tourism Circuit to meet the local aspirations.

Locals raised concerns about the need for a degree college in the area due to the growing number of students seeking higher education. Mr. Sadhotra assured that the concerns would be taken up for resolution.

Hundreds of youth joined the National Conference during the meeting. Sadhotra welcomed the new members and expressed hope that their joining would strengthen the party.
