SRINAGAR

Minister for Urban Development & Urban Local Bodies, Nawang Rigzin Jora Wednesday, unveiled the new Logo of the Srinagar Development Authority (SDA) here.

The logo has been designed by a budding Kashmiri artist Obaid Ansari. The logo depicts an eco-friendly modern Srinagar city conveying the feeling of trustworthiness, quality and contemporary flair.

The existing logo of SDA was designed in nineties. SDA had, in July this year, invited expression of interest for designing of the new Logo and out of around 25 entries, one logo was selected.

The artist whose logo was selected by the SDA was awarded a cheque of Rs 50,000 by the Minister.

Vice-Chairman SDA, Mohammad Shafi Rather and other senior officers including Director Land Management, Rubina Kousar were present on the occasion.

Pertinently, SDA has recently embarked on various flagship projects including development of a satellite township at Rakh-e-Gund Akshah, development of integrated business centre at Railhead Nowgam, construction of around 400 residential flats at Bemina and construction of office complex-cum-conference centre at MA Road.
