SRINAGAR: JK Scientists have announced the opening of applications for SPROUT 2025 (Summer Edition), the flagship mentorship programme aimed at supporting students and early-career professionals from Jammu and Kashmir in pursuing advanced academic and professional opportunities.
Over the years, SPROUT has been described as a transformative initiative, with mentees securing prestigious scholarships, global internships, research fellowships, and meaningful careers in science, technology, and innovation.
The upcoming summer edition promises an engaging and wide-ranging learning experience. Selected participants will receive personalised mentorship from experts in academia, industry, and policy. The programme also features skill-building workshops focused on CV writing, Statements of Purpose, and career strategy, along with exposure to emerging domains such as Artificial Intelligence in agriculture, biotechnology, and neurosciences.
The training component includes hands-on dry lab sessions in bioinformatics and cheminformatics, and guidance on career pathways in semiconductors, electronics, and applied computer science. In addition, the programme will explore the real-world applications of mathematics and provide direction on innovation, entrepreneurship, and research beyond conventional laboratories.
