SRINAGAR: Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Thursday lauded Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government for accomplishing long-pending national objectives within the past decade, tasks that he said remained untouched for 70 years.
Speaking at the inauguration of the Hindu Adhyatmik Aur Seva Mela in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, Shah highlighted major milestones under Modi’s leadership. “There were many tasks that no one dared to undertake since independence. In the past ten years, under PM Modi’s leadership, these goals have been achieved, and India now stands with pride on the global stage,” he said.
Listing the government’s achievements, Shah said, “The abrogation of Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir, the construction of the grand Ram Mandir in Ayodhya, the abolition of Triple Talaq, and the development of the Kashi Vishwanath Corridor are among the Modi government’s major accomplishments. The Somnath Temple is being adorned with gold, and yoga has been embraced by 170 countries worldwide.”
He also noted the government’s efforts to preserve India’s cultural heritage. “We have retrieved over 350 idols of gods and goddesses that were stolen during colonial times. India’s languages, religions, and traditions have been enriched under PM Modi’s tenure, taking Indian culture to the global stage,” Shah said.
The Union Home Minister also paid glowing tributes to Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose on his birth anniversary. “Netaji is a beacon of India’s freedom struggle. He dedicated his life to the nation’s independence and led the Azad Hind Fauj to bring India closer to freedom,” Shah said. He praised Bose’s legacy for inspiring patriotism, dedication, and strong character among India’s youth.
