The J&K Government on Wednesday said that it has taken various measures “on war-footing basis” and restored 3432 spots whish were damaged by September 2014 deluge.

“The department has executed the work of restoration on both, temporary and permanent basis,” Government answered to MLC Dharambir Singh’s.

It said that in Kashmir division, 3432 spots have been restored on temporary, so far, at an estimated cost of Rs 175.08 Crores by the Irrigation & Flood Control Division (I&FCD).

It added that similar 1078 spots were restored on permanent basis at an estimated cost of Rs 93.52.

In Jammu, the government said, 2586 spots at an estimated cost of Rs 165.06 Crores have been restored by I&FCD through SDRF on temporary basis.

While as, under permanent restoration basis, 1044 spots at an estimated cost of Rs 67.04 Crores have been restored by I&FCD.
