CCB officials said the accused were producing adulterated ghee in Tamil Nadu using a mixture of coconut and palm oil. The concoction was then packed using machinery into fake Nandini sachets and plastic bottles before being transported to Bengaluru. The adulterated product was allegedly supplied to local distributors holding official KMF licences, who in turn sold it to wholesalers, retailers, and even Nandini parlours at the price of authentic ghee.

Acting on specific intelligence, a joint team of the CCB Special Investigation Squad and the KMF Vigilance Wing conducted coordinated raids on November 14, at godowns, shops and vehicles linked to Krishna Enterprises in Nanjamba Agrahara, Chamarajpet — a business owned by the prime accused and his family members. During the operation, officials intercepted a vehicle arriving from Tamil Nadu carrying adulterated ghee packed in counterfeit Nandini packaging, seizing both the consignment and the driver.

Further investigation is under way to trace the wider distribution network and identify additional collaborators involved in the racket.
