Delivering the remarks at a military event, as per The Indian Express, General Dwivedi stressed that India would not tolerate terrorism emanating from across the border. He asserted that the armed forces were fully prepared to deal with any threat and would respond decisively if provoked.

The warning comes against the backdrop of mounting tensions along the Line of Control (LoC), where security agencies have reported increased attempts at infiltration by militants. Intelligence inputs have also highlighted Pakistan’s alleged role in aiding terror networks targeting Jammu and Kashmir.

Reiterating India’s commitment to regional peace, the Army Chief underlined that peace could not come at the expense of national security. He pointed out that the Indian Army, with modern weapons and advanced surveillance capabilities, was well-equipped to thwart any hostile moves.

Military observers view his remarks as among the strongest cautions issued to Pakistan in recent years, reflecting both the Army’s operational readiness and the government’s policy of zero tolerance towards terrorism. The comments also mirror New Delhi’s diplomatic push to hold Islamabad accountable on global platforms for providing sanctuary to extremist groups.

The statement coincides with ongoing Indian efforts to strengthen international consensus against cross-border terrorism. Analysts suggest the Army Chief’s warning is likely to increase scrutiny of Pakistan’s actions and further isolate it diplomatically unless it reins in terror activities operating from its soil.
