Gulmarg, Sonamarg, Gurez, and other parts of the Valley saw fresh snowfall today.

The low-lying areas of Kashmir, including the summer capital of Jammu & Kashmir, Srinagar, received light rainfall, contributing to the decrease in temperature.

Dr Mukhtar Ahmad, the Director of the Meteorological department (MeT) in Srinagar, mentioned that generally cloudy weather with the potential for light rain and snow in isolated highland regions is expected tonight.

However, he noted that weather conditions will improve from tomorrow, with no significant weather activity anticipated until November 10.

Director MeT said that mainly dry weather is anticipated from November 3 to November 6, with fairly to generally cloudy conditions and light snow in isolated highland areas expected from November 7 to 8.

Furthermore, on November 9 and 10, the weather will remain generally cloudy, with light rain and snowfall in a few highland areas during that period.

In general, there will be no significant weather activity until November 10. When asked about the temperature drop, he stated that there would be a change in temperature in the coming days. (KNO)
