In a post on X, the embassy said its officials had visited the site of the attack and met the injured workers in hospital.
“One Indian worker has lost his life, and three others have been injured in a drone attack in the Moscow region earlier today,” the embassy said.
It added that the mission was coordinating with company management and local authorities to extend necessary assistance to the affected workers and expressed condolences over the loss of life.
The attack came as Ukraine launched one of its largest drone assaults on Moscow in recent months overnight on Sunday, setting off air raid sirens, explosions and reports of falling debris across parts of the Russian capital and adjoining areas.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky described the strikes as “entirely justified”, saying they were in response to continued Russian attacks on Ukrainian cities and communities.
