In a post on X, the minister said the review petition had been filed as promised and reaffirmed the government’s commitment to protecting the interests of teachers. She stated that the administration has consistently pursued the matter and remains fully dedicated to safeguarding the rights of those affected.
Last month, Itoo had said that the government had taken a proactive and responsible approach to the issue by initiating concrete measures to secure the interests of teachers.
She had informed that approval had been granted for filing a review petition before the apex court and that the Department of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, through a communication issued on May 26, 2026, had directed its Standing Counsel to undertake the necessary legal action.
The minister had also stated that the review petition had been prepared and would be filed before the Supreme Court within a week.
Reiterating the government’s position, Itoo said the administration will continue to pursue all available legal avenues to protect the interests of teachers impacted by the TET-related matter.
