The assessment results were declared on October 5, 2026, with the rating reflecting the university’s continued efforts to promote innovation, entrepreneurship and start-up development among students and researchers.

The Institution’s Innovation Council operates through the Centre for Innovation, Incubation and Entrepreneurship (CIIE) at the university’s Institute of Technology, Zakura Campus. Its activities are aligned with the MIC-AICTE framework and are conducted throughout the academic year.

These initiatives include awareness programmes on innovation and entrepreneurship, expert interactions, ideation and design-thinking exercises, intellectual property rights awareness sessions, exposure visits, competitions, hackathons, prototype showcases, mentoring and start-up development activities.

The council also undertakes programmes outlined in the IIC calendar, initiatives led by the Ministry of Education’s Innovation Cell, special observances and activities organised independently by the institution. Activities and outcomes are documented and submitted through the prescribed IIC portal.

Retaining the rating highlights the university’s continued focus on fostering creativity, supporting entrepreneurial initiatives and strengthening its campus innovation ecosystem.

The MIC-AICTE Performance Assessment is an evaluation framework spearheaded by the Ministry of Education’s Innovation Cell (MIC) in collaboration with the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).

Its primary purpose is to systematically assess and rank the innovation, entrepreneurship, and startup ecosystems across Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) and schools in India.
