SRINAGAR: Khyber Cement has renewed its title sponsorship of the Kashmir Super League (KSL) for the 2026 season, reaffirming its support for football development and youth talent in Jammu and Kashmir ahead of the league’s second edition.

The sponsorship renewal was formalised during a signing ceremony at the company’s corporate office in Hyderpora, Srinagar. The agreement was signed by Wasim Ahmed Khan, Chief Sales and Customer Relations at Khyber Cement, and Mushtaq Bashir on behalf of the Kashmir Super League, in the presence of the company’s senior management.
The Khyber Cement Kashmir Super League 2026 is scheduled to begin in August. The franchise-based competition will feature six teams competing in 19 matches, providing a competitive platform for 120 footballers from across Jammu and Kashmir.
Speaking on the occasion, Umar Tramboo, Director Corporate and Strategy at Khyber Cement, said the company remains committed to creating opportunities for young footballers in the region by supporting a professional sporting platform. He said the company intends to continue investing in the long-term growth of football in Jammu and Kashmir.
Wasim Ahmed Khan said the success of the inaugural edition demonstrated the growing interest in football across the region, with improved standards of competition and strong public response. He said the company’s objective is to strengthen the league further and raise professional standards in the coming years.
The inaugural edition of the Kashmir Super League drew significant crowds at the TRC Turf Ground in Srinagar, emerging as one of the Valley’s most-followed sporting events.
Khyber Cement said the renewed partnership reflects its continued investment in sports and youth development in Jammu and Kashmir, aimed at providing aspiring footballers with greater opportunities to compete, showcase their talent and pursue the sport at a higher level.
