SRINAGAR

Senior National Conference leader and MLA Kupwara Mir Saifullah Tuesday asked the people of Kupwara district to beware of ‘RSS collaborators and sources of intelligence agencies who have yet again sold their conscience to the highest political bidders in New Delhi.’

Addressing road shows and public meetings in Kupwara, Saifullah claimed the people of Kupwara would teach a resounding lesson to agents and RSS sources in the coming Assembly elections.

“What could be more ironic – those who pretended to espouse Kashmiri Nationalism and tried to wear the disguise of separatism are today the agents and darlings of RSS. The very thought of an RSS collaborator in Kashmir was unthinkable till a few months ago but today RSS has found a new flag-bearer in Kashmir and tragically for the people of Kupwara – this flag-bearer is from our district. This however is not surprising as these individuals have changed their political ideology numerous times in the past and have been on monthly pay-rolls of intelligence agencies. What happened to their vision for Kashmiri nationalism and their so called ‘vision document’ that they parroted as a solution to the Kashmir Issue? Their new vision document will now be printed from the press of RSS in Nagpura,” Mir claimed.

He highlighted the development that has been realized in Kupwara in the last six years and said that Kupwara as a whole has been ushered into an era of prosperity and growth by National Conference. “We created new Tehsils in Kralpora, Trehgam, Drugmulla, Community Development Blocks in Qaduir Abad (Hirri), Radi Chowkibal, Drugmulla, Meelyal, Awoora, Rishigund and Lodriwan. We also created new Niabats in Panzgam, Gushi, Awoora, Halmatpora, Kawari Laderwan, Lone Harai, Dardpora Kralpora, Sholoora, Gulgam, Budnambal and Zirhama. By doing this we brought the Administration literally to your doorsteps and this new extensive framework and network of Administrative Units will go a long way in boosting the development of Kupwara Constituency”, Saifullah added while addressing various public meetings.

He asked the people to make a distinction between ‘chameleons who change their political ideology every few years and between a political institution like National Conference which has never changed even one of its political stands and has always believed in delivering on development and not fooling the people with ambiguous, half-baked political slogans and drama.’
