A CIK spokesperson in a statement said, “The case pertains to the provision of logistical support to terrorists of proscribed organisations active in Jammu and Kashmir through various means, including the transfer of funds for carrying out terrorist activities. The money is routed through multiple channels from across the LoC and then pushed into India via couriers.”

“One such courier, identified as Parvez Ahmad Khan, also known as PK, Sheikh Tajamul Islam, and Khalid, son of Bashir Ahmad Khan, and a resident of Farooq Colony, Bemina, Srinagar, was arrested in Delhi by a CIK investigation team in collaboration with the CID Cell Delhi and Delhi Police,” the statement reads.

The operation was planned at CIK headquarters a few days ago, and the accused was under both technical and physical surveillance. “He had been in hiding, evading arrest, and was planning to flee from his current location. His arrest was carried out in compliance with a warrant issued by a competent court in Srinagar,” it adds.

The accused will be produced before the court in Srinagar after his transit from Delhi, for which a transit remand has been obtained from a Delhi court. Further arrests in the case are expected, the statement added.
