SRINAGAR: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Sunday interacted with cadets during the Special National Integration Camp organised by the NCC Directorate of Jammu Kashmir and Ladakh in Srinagar.
Addressing cadets from across the country, he said the camp reflects India’s spirit of unity and that participants are both witnessing and contributing to a historic national journey.
He said the country has strong faith in its youth and expects them to lead future progress, urging cadets to uphold the values of the National Cadet Corps and carry them into society.
Highlighting India’s cultural diversity, he said it remains the nation’s greatest strength and has consistently been shaped into unity through shared traditions and national identity.
The Lieutenant Governor called on cadets to apply the values of unity in diversity and leadership skills gained during the camp for social development, adding that the spirit of patriotism must be carried forward with responsibility in their respective regions.
He observed that NCC cadets represent both present strength and future leadership of the country, noting that Indian youth are well-prepared with confidence, courage and skills to meet evolving global challenges.
Referring to the NCC motto “Unity and Discipline,” he said cadets should work towards strengthening social harmony, promoting dialogue, and contributing to the vision of a developed India.
The camp also featured cultural performances showcasing India’s diversity, with around 340 cadets and NCC officers from across the country participating.
Senior civil, police and military officials, including the Director General of NCC Lieutenant General Virendra Vats, attended the event along with other top Army and administration officials.
