SRINAGAR: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Thursday interacted with National Cadet Corps (NCC) cadets at the Special National Integration Camp held at Chinar Auditorium, Badami Bagh Cantonment in Srinagar.
The camp, organised by the NCC Directorate JK and Ladakh in coordination with Headquarters 15 Corps and Headquarters 31 Sub Area, brought together cadets from various parts of the country.
Speaking on the occasion, the Lieutenant Governor said the camp provides youth with exposure to the culture and traditions of Jammu and Kashmir. He acknowledged the role of NCC in promoting national unity and contributing to youth development.
He described the cadets as representatives of discipline, leadership and service, and called on them to uphold the principles of public responsibility and national interest. He said the camp should encourage greater youth participation in development processes at the grassroots level.
Referring to Operation Sindoor, the Lieutenant Governor noted the role played by NCC cadets in relief efforts and other community support initiatives. He stated that the NCC continues to act as a platform for youth engagement in public service.
A total of 340 cadets and NCC officers from across the country are participating in the camp. Senior officers from the civil administration, police, army and NCC directorates were present at the event.
