SRINAGAR: The Traffic Police Headquarters, Jammu and Kashmir, has issued a revised traffic advisory for the Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra-2026, notifying convoy schedules and cut-off timings for pilgrims, tourists and non-convoy vehicles. The advisory will remain in force from July 2 to August 28, 2026.
According to the advisory, separate movement schedules have been fixed for Baltal and Pahalgam-bound yatra convoys travelling between Jammu and the Kashmir Valley to ensure smooth and secure traffic management during the pilgrimage.
The Baltal convoy will leave Jammu at 4:00 am, Lamber (Banihal) at 10:00 am, and Manigam, Ganderbal, at 5:00 pm. The return convoy from Baltal will depart at 6:00 am, while vehicles from Lamber towards Jammu will move at 11:30 am.
Similarly, the Pahalgam convoy will depart Jammu at 4:15 am and Lamber at 10:45 am. The return convoy will leave Pahalgam at 6:00 am, Nunwan at 6:30 am, and Lamber towards Jammu at 8:00 am.
The advisory also prescribes cut-off timings for non-convoy yatris and tourists travelling between the Navyug Tunnel and Kashmir Valley.
For vehicles heading from Jammu towards Pahalgam, the last vehicle will be allowed to cross the Navyug Tunnel at 3:00 pm and Mir Bazar at 4:00 pm.
For traffic from Pantha Chowk to Manigam, the last vehicle can cross Peaks Crossing, Lasjan by 3:00 pm, Shadipora/Sumbal by 3:30 pm, and Manigam Transit Camp by 5:00 pm.
For vehicles returning from Baltal towards the Navyug Tunnel, the last departure from Baltal Base Camp is fixed at 9:00 am. Other cut-off timings include Sonamarg Police Station (10:00 am), Manigam Transit Camp (12:00 noon), Shadipora Crossing (1:00 pm) and Pantha Chowk (3:00 pm).
Vehicles travelling from Nunwan, Pahalgam, towards Jammu will have to cross Nunwan by 10:00 am. From Mir Bazar, the last vehicle towards the Navyug Tunnel can pass by 5:00 pm, while the cut-off at Walnut Factory, Qazigund, is 5:30 pm.
For non-convoy yatri and tourist vehicles travelling from Jammu towards Kashmir, cut-off timings have been fixed at Nagrota (12:00 noon), Jakheni, Udhampur (1:00 pm), Chanderkote (2:00 pm) and Lamber, Banihal (3:00 pm).
For pilgrims travelling from the Punjab side, the cut-off timing at Lakhanpur Reception Centre is 8:00 pm, while Chichi Mata Mandir has a cut-off of 9:00 pm.
The advisory further states that no yatri or tourist vehicle will be allowed to cross the Navyug Tunnel towards Kashmir after 3:00 pm, leave Pahalgam towards Jammu or Srinagar after 3:30 pm, travel from Sonamarg towards Srinagar after 4:00 pm, move from Gulmarg towards Srinagar after 5:00 pm, or proceed from Srinagar towards Gulmarg after 5:00 pm.
Traffic Police have advised pilgrims and tourists to travel within the Kashmir Valley only between 7:00 am and 6:00 pm and plan their journeys so that they reach their destinations before 6:00 pm. After the withdrawal of the Road Opening Party (ROP), no further movement of yatri or tourist vehicles will be permitted, and such vehicles will be halted at the nearest yatra or security forces camp.
The advisory is applicable only to yatris, yatra convoys and tourists, while movement of other vehicles will continue to be regulated through the daily traffic advisories issued by the Traffic Police.
