SRINAGAR: United States President Donald Trump has claimed that planned military strikes and bombings against Iran have been cancelled following what he described as high-level, approved negotiations involving the Iranian leadership.

In a statement posted on social media, Trump said discussions with Iran had been “brought to the highest level” and allegedly endorsed by multiple regional and international actors, leading to the cancellation of the scheduled strikes. He also claimed that final arrangements for a broader agreement were “approved in concept and detail” by all sides involved.
The post further suggested that preparations for military action had been halted for the evening, while warning that pressure measures would continue until any proposed settlement is finalised. However, no evidence was provided to support these claims.
Earlier, Trump had issued a warning that the United States would act “very hard” against Iran and had referenced potential targeting of strategic energy infrastructure, including Kharg Island and other oil facilities. Those remarks had already heightened concern over a possible escalation in tensions.
There has been no immediate confirmation from the White House, the Iranian government, or other states named in the post regarding any negotiations, agreements, or cancellation of military plans.
The claims come amid ongoing uncertainty over US-Iran relations, with official channels remaining silent on any reported breakthrough or de-escalation.
