SRINAGAR: Sikander Ali, 24, is the third-generation flower seller of the Dal lake. It was a German tourist who gave him the name – Mr Marvellous, with which he is now been located and known.
An Akhoon Mohalla resident in Srinagar, he sells countless varieties of flowers and owns a chain of nurseries. His family is actually in the business of flowers for last various generations. The family is supplying flower seeds to flower growers in Srinagar. Part of the seeds are supplied overseas as well.
While having a roaring business, Mr Marvellous has not given up his studies. He is a commerce graduate. He speaks many languages.
