SRINAGAR: Senior IPS officer Tanushree has been transferred from Jammu and Kashmir to Delhi as part of a major reshuffle of AGMUT cadre officers ordered by the Centre with immediate effect.

According to the transfer order issued by the Government of India, Tanushree, a 2017-batch IPS officer of the AGMUT cadre, has been posted to Delhi from Jammu and Kashmir.
The transfer forms part of a wider AGMUT cadre reshuffle involving IAS and IPS officers across various States and Union Territories.
Originally from Bihar, Tanushree graduated in History from Miranda House, University of Delhi. She began her career as an Assistant Commandant in the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) in 2014 before clearing the UPSC Civil Services Examination in 2016 with an All India Rank of 652 to join the Indian Police Service.
During her tenure in Jammu and Kashmir, she served in several key policing assignments, including Superintendent of Police in the State Investigation Agency (SIA) and Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), Shopian. At the time of her transfer, she was serving as the Senior Superintendent of Police, Pulwama.
Known for handling security and law enforcement responsibilities in sensitive areas, Tanushree has been associated with investigations, counter-insurgency operations and public policing during her postings in the Union Territory.
The Centre’s latest AGMUT cadre reshuffle has resulted in the transfer and posting of several IAS and IPS officers across Jammu and Kashmir, Delhi, Arunachal Pradesh, Goa, Ladakh and other AGMUT cadre States and Union Territories.
