More than thirty thousand students Sunday participated in the annual State-Level Talent Search Test (TST) organized by state students’ organization, Islami Jamiat-e-Talaba (IJT) Jammu and Kashmir.

TST is a non-commercial pro-student exercise organized by IJT annually with the aim to enhance intellectual development of students and to familiarize them with the pattern of competitive examinations they are to face while seeking higher or professional education.

Students from 8th to 10th class are eligible to appear in the examination.

The question paper for the TST is based on sixty objective type questions taken from J&K State Board of School Education curriculum of these classes besides general knowledge, current affairs, logic & reasoning, Islamic studies and comparative religious studies, a statement from the organization said.

“This year, around thirty-two thousand students appeared in the test held across state for which more than 200 examination centers were set up,” president of IJT, Omar Sultan, said.

The results of the TST 2015 will be declared on May 24, Sunday on TST website www.tstijt.co.in.

“The three top position holders in every district will be awarded rupees 7000, 5000 and 3000 each. One state topper will be awarded ten thousand rupees,” Omar informed.

Soon after the examination was over on Sunday, IJT released the answer key of the question paper through its website and social media outlets including official Facebook page and Twitter handle, he added.
