Jammu and Kashmir Awami National conference has asked Union Home Minister, Shushil Kumar Shinde, “to study the chequered history of J&K to know that dictatorship had never succeeded in striking roots in the state as its people would always prefer to sacrifice their lives than to show allegiance to any Hitler”.
In a hard hitting statement issued from Delhi, Party’s senior Vice President, Muzaffar Shah, said the union Minister’s “dictatorial mindset” was immensely harmful for both Kashmir and India.
He was referring to Shinde’s refusal to return the mortal remains of Parliamentary attack convict, Mohammad Afzal Guru, hanged in Delhi’s Tihar jail in a hush hush manner on February 9.
ANC leader condemned the fidayeen attack on CRPF camp in Bemina. He has also condemned the killing of a civilian Altaf Ahmad Wani of Saidapora.
“It is time, leaders and legislators of the ruling combine admitted their failures and resigned from their posts”, said Shah, urging members of opposition parties not merely to shed crocodile tears but to come forward to mitigate the sufferings of the state people.
