SRINAGAR: The cessation of hostilities agreed upon by India and Pakistan on May 12 will continue, an army official said on Sunday.
Dispelling speculation that the pause was temporary and would end on Sunday, media reports suggest there is no fixed timeline for the understanding reached during the interaction between the Directors General of Military Operations (DGMOs) of both sides.
“As far as the continuation of the break in hostilities, as decided during the DGMO-level talks, is concerned, there is no expiry date to it,” officials said.
Army officials confirmed that no fresh talks between the DGMOs were scheduled for Sunday.
