Speaking to reporters outside the Hazratbal shrine in Srinagar, Abdullah alleged that the PDP had inflicted considerable damage during its time in office and said it had shown no remorse for its governance. He further stated that the party’s actions had pushed the region towards decline, while expressing strong disapproval of its record in power.

Commenting on the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), the NC leader said the party was focused on its own political objectives and maintained that his party was not required to respond to its campaigns or criticism.

He rejected reports of any internal differences within the opposition alliance, describing them as unfounded rumours spread by political opponents. Abdullah asserted that the alliance remained intact and stable.

On international affairs, the former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister expressed hope for de-escalation between Iran and the United States, saying that an end to hostilities would be in the wider global interest.

On reports of a demolition drive in the Sidra area, he distanced himself and his party from any involvement, noting that the matter was currently under investigation and declined to comment further.

Responding to PDP allegations regarding the imposition of a governance model similar to that of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath in Jammu and Kashmir, Abdullah urged the party to review its own governance record. He accused the PDP of having created difficulties for the people during its tenure and referred to its role in the political developments following the abrogation of Article 370 and Article 35A.
