Life moved as usual. On May 31, it was an elaborate function at the police headquarters when Khuda completed his inning. In consultation with the MHA, the state government has already approved the appointment of Ashok Prasad, an Additional Director Intelligence Bureau (IB) posted at Srinagar for some time. A 1977 batch officer, Prasad is visiting Delhi before taking up the new assignment. In the meantime, senior most police officer 1984 batch K Rajendera Kumar took over as the DGP in the afternoon on May 31.
